My Story

Victoria Sheridan Wellbeing Advocate

THE EARLY YEARS

From overworked, college and university lecturer to happy Rejuvenation Coach, Author and Motivational Speaker.

I went from being invisible and feeling old to being vibrant and feeling young, and I now have a successful business that I truly love. I have coached thousands of women to redefine themselves and rejuvenate their lives. You can be excited and find renewed purpose too.

Whilst I raised my two daughters, as a single parent, I had spent many years teaching relaxation and meditation alongside various part time jobs, as this all fitted in with family life. It is natural for me to help everyone to relax and cope with stress and to encourage them to do and be more than they believe possible. Over those years, I helped thousands of  people to manage their stress and rejuvenate themselves.

The time came when I knew my daughters were growing up fast and one day, they would be gone, I chose to study a degree, with a view to teaching. Eventually, they grew up and moved on and I went on to enjoy a successful career starting as an inexperienced Learning Support to becoming a fully qualified Lecturer in colleges and university.

During that time, my stress management skills were used in classes as well as in training and coaching sessions with students and staff.

I also expanded my horizons  and was invited to host a weekly Life Coaching show on FM and Internet radio interviewing international celebrities and coaching my listeners via phone-ins. Life was finally, stimulating and financially rewarding.

Everything was going well until a few years later I reached menopause and although I had finished for about 3 years, I experienced a health setback and needed an operation.

Eventually, after a lengthy recovery, I returned to work before I felt ready to, but my job had become insecure and I faced changes as my working conditions were restructured which resulted in an increased workload and work became stressful and ruined my lifestyle.

Subsequently, I went without sleep, I had difficulty eating well, I felt old, and I lost my confidence. Ultimately, despite having been on top of my career, I no-longer felt valued.

A review of my future was needed and I assessed my options including any small pensions I might

have accrued.

I knew ways to relieve stress and so I focused my  coaching skills on myself until I became calm and relaxed again. I made the decision to leave my job and start over and so, I resigned from my career and took my small pension.

Within weeks I was gone and then it was all up to me to rebuild my life in a way that I wanted. I was excited for the first time in a long time and  I felt inspired about my fresh start and my new life.

After this transition, I became confident and I  felt younger and more vibrant. I became confident, felt younger and more vibrant. I was enthusiastic about my future and I created a successful business that I love.

Ten later, I decided to retire and focus on my own pleasure and fulfilment rather than focusing on business and having a full diary.

I now enjoy creating and exhibiting my Art, I continue to write and I still advocate other people's self fulfilment and wellbeing and I regularly make guest appearances on media and at events as a motivational speaker.

As I went through this transition in my life I came to realise my true value and I embraced and appreciated all aspects of myself as an older woman with so much still to achieve..
